Another lesson for us today.
Woke up this morning to find our rig / tup lamb dead.
In the neighbouring field the 2 yr old Suffolk tup carries on with his business.
It appears that they have fought through the fence and the little one came off worse for wear with a broken neck presumably.
We should not have put them in adjacent fields.
Thought I would share just in case anyone else is about to make the same mistake we did.
Fishy.

Awww, very sorry to hear that.

The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, but he was an aggressive ram. Thankfully he got them all in lamb. Am so sorry to hear about that, have you got a backup ram and what breed was he?

Hi, Yes we have another ram in a field well away from the Suffolk! Didn't think the rig would show ram tendencies as bottle fed and tame with us. How wrong can you be! :-\
