Title: Chick with sneezy/chesty
Post by: sophie_aj on November 02, 2014, 10:39:39 pm
1/5 chicks (brooded by mum) has come down sneezy.

Any thoughts on where to go from there? Is the chick better left with mum or isolated?

I'd suspect mycoplasma and medicate the water with Tylan.  Can you split off the chick with its own feed and water and a heat lamp, but where it can still see the others?

You either have to separate and treat or leave it to it.

I'd suspect Myco and cull the affected chick I'm afraid. The others must have natural resistance to it, which is good.
