Title: Where do you get your fleeces processed?
Post by: cuckoo on October 23, 2014, 03:18:22 pm
Hi ,

I have mohair fleeces coming out of my ears - where do you get your fleeces processed? Halifax Spinning Mill very near me but have had some there for nearly a year with out so much as a dicky boo!

Thanks

Can you not send them to be processed with the Angora Goat Society? I thought all the Angora fleeces are collected up and sent to South Africa for processing? (Works like the WMB?)

You could also try the Border Mill near Duns, Scottish Borders. Quite pricey (as I have heard), but they do do Alpaca and angora, as well as some sheep fleeces in smaller quantities.
