Title: clean up after quarantine for new sheep?
Post by: Thyme on October 19, 2014, 06:18:08 pm
Hi all.  I'm bringing in a new ram lamb next week and planning to follow the SCOPS protocol (http://www.scops.org.uk/taking-the-first-steps.html), however I'm not sure what I should do to clean up my hard surface after he's been penned there for the 48 hours.  Aside from shovel and removal to compost heap, that is.  Should I use a disinfectant?  How careful should I be about run-off into the adjoining paddock when I'm cleaning?  Thanks for advice.
