Title: looking to re-home old spot sow
Post by: JulieWall on October 11, 2014, 05:20:37 pm
I have a 15/16 month old sow looking for a home. If polly_men sees this can he get in touch as I wanted to give him first refusal, but failing that any decent home would be welcomed. I need to get her away before the winter to someone who will put her in pig. If mated/ AI'd now I reckon she will have piglets ready to go in the early spring.
She is a really nice natured girl who loves people so I want to see her well homed.
Thanks for reading, Julie

I'm in NE Scotland and she is free to someone who will take care of her and put her in pig, I just want her to have the productive life we intended for her. She's not a pedigree pig but good healthy outdoor reared crossbred. She's a damn good digger and earth mover too, hence the name, Fergie.

That's such a relief, I want her to have a good life and I have a feeling that's what she will get now. I'd love to see a pic of her with her first litter if possible, I think she'll be a good mum. She was one of a litter of 16 herself!
