Hi you may have seen Cassie before and her video of her sheep working abilities. She is coming on in confidence with very little training from me. She is a lovely sweet thing with a Kelpie attitude thrown in for good measure.

Sorry, I think I missed the earlier stuff. How much interest and ability is she showing? I'm after a dog at the moment.

let me start by saying I am no expert at working sheep dogs! She lacks confidence at first to gather the sheep into a bunch, but when they are together she takes directional commands really well (body language rather than verbals) and is a real help in penning up. She will bark when the handler starts "barking" to encourage them in the pen. If you go on her facebook page and scroll down there is an early video of her first attempts. When she first came she would hardly look at the sheep, but now is much more interested. She came as a "failed" sheepdog from Cumbria, I wonder if there was some "harsh handling" to make her not even look at the sheep at first.
