Title: Hello from Virginia USA

I have browsed the Accidental Smallholder website several times and have enjoyed the information I found there.  I hope that through the forums I can help others a bit.

I grew up in central USA - the state of Iowa, famous for corn (maize), soybean and hog production.  Though I lived in a small town, I was never far from farm and farming.  I have done lots of gardening, but have raised no livestock.

I am unable to comment on UK specific questions (or any area outside the USA), but I hope that sharing my gardening experience will be of benefit to others.
