Title: Everything breaking down!!
Post by: Roxy on December 05, 2009, 11:22:36 pm
Had trouble with our old Range Rover, then the van has been in the garage twice in the last couple of weeks.  My computer is on a very go slow,  and  I am having trouble typing on it, and reading messages and emails ......on top of that my camera has decided to only take photos inside and not outside.  Telly has also been funny, giving us only one channel.  Had to get a new one in the end, for the digital changeover this weekend.

Just wondering what else can break down.

Millenium bug coming late round your way?!
Bet everything is out of guarantee too.
Maybe Santa will bring replacements, if you've been good this year, before you too breakdown!

Maybe too obvious, but have you cleared your cookies etc, also worth trying the disc defragmenter programme (in control panel somewhere) or if all else fails you could run a clean-up programme, there are lots available for free on the web.
Hope that helps ! and I hope nothing else breaks down mrs - always the same when it's approaching a 'BIG' event - in the week before my wedding we had to replace the fridge, freezer, dishwasher AND my wedding shoes (cos the dog chewed them them !) It never fails  ;)

It's garanteed that if you are saving for something, other machanical or electrical wquiptment get jelouse and want attention too. We have gone back to an Old style BIG TV after are large flat screen stopped working after 18mths, all are bedrooms have old dtyle TV's but with Freeview box's.....the more you have the more it costs to live...that includes children and animals!!! ;)

Roxy, you are not alone! My car has sprung a leak of transmission fluid and the mechanic is trying one thing after another (charging me all the way) and I'm still topping up a bottle a week...the central heating needs to be talked to and a yellow button pressed up to 4 times before it decides it is worth a go; the computer has a  disease called teenage MSN usage, which causes my browser to crash every half hour or so after she's been on (always when I'm in the middle of something!!!). The changer button from freeview to dvd or vhs needs very gentle loving care  (and I need a lot of patience!!) or all is either blue or pink or yellow. I said the other day - why can't we have things in this household that work??? At least most of our appliances are old and reliable in their quirks... :&>
