Title: "polish grass"

Not a problem for you in the uk but here in west ukraine "polish grass" is a nightmare which nobody tries to control they just keep hoeing it every 2 weeks!!. Without using chemicals any suggestions on how to control it effectively over 3 hectares?

What is it?  Is there another name for it?  Like couch/cooch grass?
