It's growing in abundance on my roadside
Cheers in advance
-
are they not rosehips?
-
That's what I thought but didn't know,
-
They look like rose hips to me as well.
-
Definitely rosehips of some kind or other (as in which specific rose I don't know).
-
Great in hedgerow jam but pick 'em young or filter it to make jelly - the seeds are like shrapnel if you don't.
-
On further investigation..... I think it is berries off a spice bush .
-
What sort of spice bush? We've moved recently and have a wild plum/black bullace/cherry plum. Made some jam and it's divine!!
-
i think they are rosehips aswell but a different variety than what we have. if you google rosehips, loads of pictures come up.
