Title: 2 BADLY scouring ewes

Hi,
I've got 2 ewes at the moment who are extremely badly scouring. One's out in the field and the other ones on a yard eating coarse mix and hay. They haven't been wormed for a while but I don't think thats it?
I've attached a picture for you to look at. Any ideas/help would be great!

Some of my dad's lambs had nematodirus at this time last year. It's been warm enough for it to happen this year too. Take some of the sloppy poo to the vets and get them to check it out. I'd worm them anyway, it won't hurt if it isn't and if it is, it'll fettle it.

Get on rehydion, possibly some Peptobismol and some good hay. Worm also. Bring in and dry them out.

If one is already in and on hay and is still scouring, then it's most likely worms.  Get a FEC done.


I've just had a ram scour, similar to your picture ... but I did a FEC and there was nothing in it. The next day after a wee bit of hay he was fine again.

Which wormer are you using? If you have used the same kind for a while, you may have resistance and it would be better to switch to a different class. Just a thought.
