Have borrowed a Poll Dorset ram lamb to go in with my ewes this year after sadly losing my ram. I like to lamb in Feb and my ewes have a serious "come hither" look about them already. Popped wee ram lamb in with them last night, he looks weeny compared to my girls. He was born in Jan so is mature and able (hopefully) only has to tup 10 ewes so should be ok.
Went to check on them this morning, hormonal girls have terrified the poor boy! They are all flirting with him so much he just runs away! Hopefully things will settle down over the next few weeks and then he will be able to begin to do his business!
When i left them today he was grazing happily, with a mob of girls standing in a row staring at him with lust!

:roflanim: Poor little lad! Never mind, if a lot of them are cycling now, and there are only 10 in all, then it should be dribs and drabs for the next 16 days, and he'll have learned his job by the time the posse are back on heat!

Sorry no useful contribution - but made me laugh :roflanim:

I now have a picture in my mind.... ;D, but I am sure HIS hormones will kick in too..

I think it is called harassment :o - but he'll get over it.

I wish he would man up and get down to the serious stuff!! He had 2 weeks to prove himself! If nothing happens he will be sent home with his tail between his legs and the big boys will be brought in!! Actually really keen to have some lambs out of him as interested to see what a poll Dorset x will be like.
