We are AI our first sow tonight, any tips?
It will be my first time seeing and helping, (chief torch holder will be my job this time  :D), OH learned and did a fair few at college, luckily our sow was hand reared and is very quiet, don't think shes been AI'ed before tho?
I'm rather excited about it!  ;D

A bit late now but I do have a tip. Look at pigsinfrance.com, Simon, who did A.I. for 25 years in the U.K. before moving to France, has written a brilliant article with photos about A.I. it's accessible from the website . If you follow his advice you can't fail.
I do use A.I. and have successfully bred a new boar and some gilts for my herd and that saves me taking the risk of buying in other stock with all the associated risks.
 Good luck !! ;D
