Title: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sheila on November 15, 2009, 10:58:31 pm
Just finished watching I'm a celebrity. There are two people I already hate! My sister was on the same plane as jimmy White on his way to the jungle. She talked to him and his wife for seven hours and didn't recognise him.

I'd lost intrest in the last couple of series - but this one looks like it might be more interesting  ;)
Jordan/Katie Price going back in is sure to stir things up (and redeem her in the eyes of the public  ??? That's definately the motivation behind that move IMHO)
As car crash TV goes, it's going to make intersting viewing  ;D

I thought Katie Price came over soo well and looked stunningly Natural, when she was in the jungle last time but what has happened to her? Poor women has lost it and gone overboard with those teeth, lips etc I suppose when you are in the public eye you can become over critical of yourself. I think it will be good as well, hope it's funny as I look forward to following a TV programme, I never get to follow anything on TV due to the job!!!

Will the success of this programme for Sam Fox force her into releasing another album??? God, is the world ready for this? :P

I couldn't believe it when I saw Katy Price. she looks like the bride of wilderstein! All that plastic surgery and botox.no wonder Peter left her. imagine waking up next to that in the morning!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 16, 2009, 01:00:10 pm
I bet all the 30 something men were revisiting thier memories of Sam Fox, my other half kept singing her song..well a few words of her song!!! (how many did she have a hit with anyway?)It's hard to understand why people want to overdo the plastic  surgery stuff, she seems like she has a mental health/body dismorphia thingy!!!!
Anyway, Sam looks good! how old is she anyway?
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity

According to "wikipedia" Ms Fox is 43, I think she had 2, possibly 3 hits - I said Hits ::)

I liked Katy Price last time, I admired the way she took all the challenges on without whingeing, and found her oddly entertaining! This time though she looks awful and I dont think has the same attitude as before, and I reckon the public will want her out! Sam Fox looks as though she will get stuck in too, talk about desparate this lot!! they must only be in it for the money, no way could I put a live spider in my mouth :o unless my life depended on it!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 17, 2009, 12:30:13 pm
I would agree, I had no opinion of Katie Price before, other than what the Headlines said, then, in the jungle she was so down to earth and stunning. I still think she comes over well (at the moment) and worry she will be in for a very rough ride, I think psychologically she wants to be punished, I truly felt that her and Peter were very much in love, I think she still is but is now bitter as I think she wanted to "test" Peter all the time, but it backfired and he has turned into Mr Celebrity.....still feel for Katie but I reckon Sam Fox has the guts and the stability to do very well.....looks good so far......P.S well covered women with a good food store like me ha! ham!!! would last longer, those poor skinnies must be starving, no reserve at all!!!!

I thought Camilla looked skeletal from the start, surely she'll starve to death!

Isn't she a professional dancer? I dare say they are not used to eating much in normal circumstances!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sheila on November 17, 2009, 01:34:43 pm
Katy Price looked like a freak with a mustache! and her teeth reminded me of Red Rum! Why do so many people hate themselves so much that they feel the need to change everything that makes them who they are? she was perfectly ok before all the botox.
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: dixie on November 17, 2009, 01:44:26 pm
Yes Camilla used to be on Strictly, she looks painfully thin to me! and they always lose a lot of weight in the jungle!

Just to stir things up a bit:

do you really have to hate yourself to go for all the treatments that various "celebs" may or may not have had?

we wear clothes, use cleaning products on ourselves that (may) contain parabens & other "nice" things, wash our hair, brush our teeth etc...etc..Would our diet not have changed, might our need to do any of these things have happened ???

I dunno, plastic surgery does seem wierd to me but then who are we to comment? If one has the ways & means & technology makes it so then are we not just continuing the human condition?

Pete Burns does it because he can (so he says) & because he likes to shock. Genesis P Orridge (look him up) did it to shock, so are we not just as guilty or insecure if we prejudge people we are only exposed to on tv?

I couldn't care less what people look like, I'm covered in tattoo's & am also judged on pre-conceived notions of image. We are quick (or can be) to judge but we all define ourselves in different ways. Anyone introduced themselves as Mr/Mrs So & So, I am a Blah Blah and I also grow my own/run a smallholding etc....etc?... Its a way of defining our tribal bonding...or our tribal allegiances, so say the physical anthropr..cannae smell..ists!

My brain hurts :o

If you are covered in tatoos no wonder your brain hurts.
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 17, 2009, 08:26:48 pm
I too like individuals, but a lot of people have plastic surgery to look like someone or something e.g a Barbie Doll, pop star etc!!! I would have plastic surgery if I had the money, some people look great...it's just another means of attraction or individualism. Tribes do it and I am sure animals would if they could!!!Now I am rambling...

it seems Camilla is quite poorly, she's panicky and not coping, don't think she will stay :-\

What would they have to show the public if Katie Price was not on the show - the editing is all about making Katie more famous, it's so sad. Anyone else think  that Ant and Dec are needing to grow up and get off British TV?
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 18, 2009, 11:00:16 am
Poor Katie, it was inevitable that she would be picked out to do the trials by the public...they need to give her a chance for am unity as the programme is in danger of procuring  serious bullying!!!

I still like Ant and Deck, they still make me laugh but can see The twins from X Factor taking on their role.

Now..I thought Gina looked good but am rapidly...even at this very moment...going off him.
I hope I am not going to tarnish my i :-[mage BUT, poor Ginos wife must be under so much controle not to be able to "pass wind" in front of him,......that used to happen to me in my marrage, I also was not allowed to swear, and have to wear specific clothing...controling and NO basis for relationships. GIno is on "This Morning" helping someone cook and he said he NEVER sets the table!!!!!!!!!!! Well I am in a very happy 15 year relationship and I am equal to my partner, we both can pass wind :-[ :-[and when we want and of course swear!!!!!! Gina sounds a bit very sexist to me!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity

Remember the pretty dark haired girl from Emmerdale that was on Celebrity a few years ago? i cant remember her name, Sherie??but she said she never farts in front of her hubby as she finds it embarrassing, now call me old fashioned but its not something I do either, not because my hubby doesnt like it, I just dont feel happy farting in front of anyone!  ;D my hubby reckons I'll spontaneous combust one day ;D

Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 18, 2009, 01:35:28 pm
:o :o Hope knowone thinks I am being funny (strange) no intention.....anyway, I would not dream of "passing wind in front of anyone else, not even my daughters..not even in the guests rooms when I am makeing the beds!!!! Must add, I was brought up very prim and proper and no amout of force, bribe etc could make me swear or burp or even eat in the streat and I always went out with my makeup and relitively clean clothing.......my mum and my gran were the same, although Gran changed when she had a stroke and when in to a convent nursing home, swore like a trooper then (sure I said this one before) SO, I think it's my releif to be a bit freeer, at least with my partner if knowone else!!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity

I was brought up the same as you sandy.  Only really 'free' with my husband!   :)

What a funny subject, am I prim and proper then ;D my sister quite happily trumps away, but I just dont!! same upbringing etc, but I dont feel supressed(sp) at all, just the way I am I suppose!
Well Camilla has left the jungle as she really not up to it! Joe Bugner has taken her place :o

Oh Kim!!!! she's loosing it a bit I think....I really liked her as well......and I do feel sorry for katie but her mum was on TV with her brother and they warned her she could end up doing all the challenges...still, she is comming over well and getting the public and others in the jungles respect....I think? I wouldn't mind being as pretty as Katie Price, she has overdone the teeth and lips but I still think she is stunning!!!! Another problems is, we are not getting to know anyone else..Oh Gino is certainly doing very well!!!! he is entertaining and useful!!!!! Enjoying it so far...poor animals!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: dixie on November 20, 2009, 09:10:32 am
Kim would drive me insane!! I thought Katie would get all the trials,  but at least she's doing them! I dont think Lucy will cope with any of them though!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: sandy on November 20, 2009, 09:18:06 am
I think I would find Kim the most annoying and I did like her...she is the result of over acting for tooo long I think!!!
Title: Re: I'm a celebrity
Post by: jameslindsay on November 20, 2009, 09:41:54 am
Can any one explain to me the purpose of George Hamilton being on this show as he is exempt from Every trial??? This is very unfair on the others, why would he be allowed to go in to the jungle if he was so ill? All he does is sit with an inane grin on his face like a Cheshire cat(and my apologies to Cheshire cats for this insult).

I did notice last night that both Kim and Katie's nail varnish is immaculate. Now they are supposedly roughing it in the jungle and a few nights ago Katie had to use her fingers to break through earth tunnels, can this be?

I actually do feel sorry for Katie but wonder if it is the public that are punishing her or is it the makers of the show going for effect? The editing of the show is very unfair as the likes of Jimmy White only gets a few words in every so often, it is dominated by Katie, Kim and that irritating Italian. While I am on a rant that guy from Justin and Colin - the one with the blonde hair - what an annoying and loud creep he is. I hope some crocodile gets him out of the jungle ha ha ha. Now that would surely boost their ratings?

I also wondered about George Hamilton!!! I suppose he is there for an age balance, although surly they can come up with a task he CAN do!!!! Reality shows..I suspect the production team like Katie getting all the tasks to do......Sam is also now in the background and I am sure she has a lot to offer, seems a great girl but not allowed to show off her talents...the only talents that are being shown are BOOOOOOOOOBS!!! Anyhow, my nails always look rough so how cum theres are so perfect? If their luxury item has been taken away then how sad it is that their nail varnish is a necessity!!!Still, I am enjoying it...

No tv here so I can't watch this.
But it would seem that Gino D'Acampo should be called Burglar Bill.....He did 2 years in prison for burglary 11 years or so ago , when he was 21. He burgled/stole a guitar collection (£4,000) and a platinum disc from non other than Paul Young.
He was caught by DNA samples that he left on fag butts at the scene....so he had been caught and done, for doing something before then ??
Now if they really wanted to kick things off they should send in Paul Young .....

cheers

I don't watch this programme.  Is this George Hamilton III - the American gospel singer? I have a signed photo of him - he's such a lovely person.  Met him about three years ago in Fraserburgh.

The George Hamilton on celebrity is American too...big friend of Elizabeth Taylor....sort of from that era of film stars, (though nowhere near as big) ...well just about ...he was in many 60's and 70's films...maybe more tv stuff too...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRMBlFGtVJw&feature=related

but Paul loves Gino really ..... In the video , you see Paul watching Gino's house from the street , then climbing the wall and breaking in ...this happened while Gino was away doing time in nick ...and Paul missed him so much ... he cried these words of despair... "I opened my eyes and I realized what we had together, will you ever return ? , or have you changed your mind ?, if you want to stay mine , just love me forever !!!! love me forever !!!  why don't you come back , please Gino , why don't you come back , please Gino , why don't you come back , please Gino.....just come back and stay for good this time .." ( " just don't nick anymore guitars " ) " stay for good this time !!! "
and so began Paul's long love affair with Gino round' a campo ....

cheers

My late mum really liked Paul Young , and where she used to do a boot sale was a young kid who looked exactly like him ....While at the boot sale this song was very often playing ...Mum used to say it was like being next to Paul Young ..... lol .. I LOVED PAUL YOUNG TOO

He did suffer a lot losing his voice and I think he had to give up singing in the end  :(

Last night Mariah Carey was on X factor and sang a Paul Young song - Joe said no - thats her own song -
so so old feeling now, even my OH doesnt remember Paul Young -

Well, thats the downside of marrying a toy boy he he  ;D

I thought Mariah Carey was a bit weak but Oh...Susan Boyle....she made my eyes run..and my nose...stunning performance.

Back To I'm a celeb.....did Katie Price intend to go after a week? She said it wo uld be her last task and she never mentioned missing her children!! I think she only planned for a short stay, after all, her makeup and nail varnish would run out!!!! KIM KIM!!! you keep loosing it but I might of too with Joe....give him the jo b of cooking..I hate people giving out advice but not doing it themselves :( :(

That shocked me too!! Kim is a tough and stubburn person, I like her but I think she would get on your nerves, not keen on her attitude to relationships and men and women....it depends individuals charactors....I like to do everything myself, even the heavy stuff, only ask OH if he is around and I am finding it requiring a bit more muscle!!!! Being a couple is about give and take, Kim reminds me a lot, looks and everthing, of an Aunt of mine whom I admired, my Aunt did everything perfectly, from Gardening to tailoring suits....her husband was a lovely man but did nothing except be a bus conductor and play chess!

this Katie price thing has been staged from day 1

My prediction a few months ago was that Peter and Katie would be back together to release a get back together christmas single.

She's used I'm a celeb to get her "credibility" back and i see she's dumped the cage fighter, talked about the life changing experience i'm a celeb was and how she was going down a bad road over the last few months

the ground work is being laid for a reunion, single, happily ever after, new tv series

For a thickarse lassie, shes found herself a good manager!!

I totaly agree, thats just what I thought....BUT...I generally beleive Katie Loves Peter to bit's.....you could see it when they were together, a lot of chemistry between them, I saw none from the prize fighter. When you think a bit deeper, even the News is angled one way, how do we ever know who to beleive????? Did you se ther is talk about the Twins from X Factor going in??? Poor soles if they do, they need thier food!!!

I love I'm a celebrity but I wish we cold see more of the cooking, daily life, the pace and the filming spoils it, constantly saying what is comming up and then showing the same clip again, I bet if you take them bits out there is only about 15 Min's of film ;D ;D

Probably too late Sandy, George has now left the jungle I see on the news.

No...really? Well, what will Kim do now? she will be depressed without someone to molly coddle!!!!! Maybe George was running out of medication and needed his food, I know I would. It's strange how the older people in these reality programmes are far more interesting in my opinion, the younger one's are too uptight to let themselves be shown for who they are...Oh well, buy George :D

Cheap TV  but I like it, makes a change to my usual house programmes. Still think it would be a good way to find an ideal partner, trouble is, how would you choose who would go in?

Thats a strange thing as I do not like anything on TV...I watch some things but only bits and bobs as I am usualy on here ;DI still like I'm a celebraty although it could be better, seeing more of thier every day live, cooking, washing etc....I think celebraties have been used to the TV and let themselves go when in the jungle!!! I do like some fly on wall or reality TV as I enjoy the psycholodgy of the interactions and watching the body language.....otherwise...TV is not too interesting for me!  P.S for some very strange reason I find myself watching Jeramy Kyle..whats that all about...a load of tos*+£"

I read in one to todays newspapers that Gino and Stuart are to be investigated, and prosecuted if found guilty of animal cruelty because they "allegedly" killed and cooked a RAT on the programme!!! Have they never seen what scientists do to animals - all in the name of our better interests???

there are even more twists to the Gino RounD'acampo fire and Paul Young's tryst .... It turns out that Gino didn't get caught by DNA sample after all ...it was Paul Young who dobbed him in !!!! Because Gino had turned down Paul's advances.
Well as a kid Paul was always 'dobbin ' people in at school , so he dobbed poor little Gino in . Well they have made up now ...and they are going on the road 'ent' together  . They will be singing their new song 'where ever I braise my rat , thats my home' , and they will be known as 'Ratman and Dobbin'  ......

cheers
