Title: Hand shears?
Post by: nutterly_uts on August 04, 2014, 10:57:02 pm
Looking to get the BF a present and he's a sheep man through and through - shepherds as part of his job and shows part of his own flock.

Thought about a new pair of hand shears, but am a bit clueless  :-\
Is there a specific make/kind considered the bees knees or is it down to individual preference?

If its a daft idea, then other ideas welcome :)

Choice of hand shears is a bit down to personal preference, you might have to give him a voucher to choose his own!

I like Burgen and Ball, so maybe the Super Shear (http://www.burgonandball.com/shop/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=179)?

Same with foot knives.  I had BH buy me one of the really sharp curved ones, (farrier style) and he liked it so much I never got to use it ::)

The only present I have ever given my husband which he actually looked pleased with (other than chocolate or beer) was this:

http://www.journeyman-leather.co.uk/agricultural8.html (http://www.journeyman-leather.co.uk/agricultural8.html)

He wears them both on his belt, and it means he can have two bottles of whatever (most recently Rycoben and Dysect) on his back without having a gun dangling, and his shears handy.
