Title: Genetics...? What does a Lavender Pekin cock x millefleur pekin hen produce?
Post by: WoodlandsDevon on August 04, 2014, 08:13:50 pm
I was told by someone that this cross will produce a rare colour but I can't remember what they called it and I've lost their contact details ::). Does any one know what this colour is called. I'll upload some pics of the chicks later...
Thanks

I have crossed a Millefluer cockerel with a lavender hen before and the chicks were a lavender colour with an orange rings round their neck.  I am not sure if this is the same as what you are enquiring as I did it the other way round!

This cross seems to produce 2 different colours of chicks: One ends out Blueish black with a white face and chest, the other ends out  with spots of white, lavender and light brown when fully feathered.
