I have a red welsh sheepdog, male, free to good home. He is currently 3 and a half years old. although he Comes from good working lines, grandfather is Aberaeron-Ghriff, he does not work. Not neutered, obedient, not house trained, as he has always been an outside dog. He has a good temperament, however he is a little timid with strangers. He has beautiful markings of red and white. I am giving him away because I bought a bearded collie bitch, who is now approaching 6 mnths old and I do not want her getting into whelp. You can get your farm dogs neutered and chipped for free in Wales. The Dogs Trust pays. You need to check that your vets are part of the scheme though. I know ours is.

Yes I know, however i have been trying to sell him for a long time now, because 3 dogs is a bit much. :wave:

Be very careful offering a dog free to good home - that is one of the main supply routes for bait dogs for fighting rings. Much safer to give him to a good rescue that can make sure he goes to a properly vetted home.

I wondered why if you think 3 dogs is too much, why you purchased the bearded collie? A dog is for life not just for Christmas springs to mind.
Sorry, but having taking on many rescue dogs and given them a deserved forever home when people have tired of them or feel the need to replace an older dog with a younger pup both very sad and with total disregard to the dog.
Whilst I can fully understand there being some situations where it may become necessary to rehome a dog, but the fact that this situation could be resolved by neuturing one/other/both dogs would be a far fairer solution for your red welsh sheepdog than trying to get rid of him. The fact that he also has some issues would mean he is highly likely to be passed from pillar to post and back again before someone comes along prepared to put in the time and effort that most of these rehomed dogs require.
I really hope he finds a forever home where he will be loved and appreciated. He is a lovely looking dog.
