I am trying to find a web supplier for freezer bags and labels and coloured plastic bags I have tried Lakeland Plastics. I am sure there are some very good suppliers on the web can anyone recommend please?

what type do you mean? do you mean the type that butchers use for putting joints in ?if you do we use SCOBIES for bags and freezer labels we get from LABELPLANET these you can use in inkjet or laser printers if you want. hope that helps.

i was going to suggest SCOBIES Direct aswell, dad gets most of his butchers supplys from there

This is who I use http://www.weald-packaging.co.uk/ they are local to me, but they do mail order too ;)

The bag and box man has quite a good selection too. And ebay's always a good bet.
I use ziplock bags (usually get them from Costco) and they're fantastic quality & well worth the money. (They've also got a panel for writting the details on)

Anyone know where I can get tinfoil pudding basins? I thought Lakeland but no. I want to make some for Christmas gifts but it gets uneconomic if you have to pay £8 for a ceramic pudding basin.

Thanks will try those, but vague memories of a catalogue containing bags, labels etc from one on line shop. I keep thinking Lakeland but its not that. Its so frustrating as need the labels and cant remember the name.

Rosemary,
Makro is a great place for foil and foil pie tins etc. you have to have a business to get a card, but thats no
problem, Dan would get one - we buy all our paper carrier bags and foil dishes there for the farm shop.
Hilary, we use Scobies, but also Mclernons in Dublin and Belfast do bags and jam jars - bulk orders only. I would
try ebay, look under wholesale and job lots rather than normal sales.
