As in the title I'm wondering whether I can hatch bantams and large fowl at the same time. Advice appreciated.
Thanks

Eggs generally begin development after the whole of the egg has reached the correct temp for hatching. When heat is applied from the outer surface then the bigger the egg the longer it will take for the core temperature to rise. You could put them in biggest first , but if they are to be kept together afterwards the larger chicks may trample the smaller ones
If they are your own eggs and the hatchlings have plenty of space to get out each other's way and ample feed an d water stations it might be worth a go

Our last hatch was a mix like that. They all hatched at about the same time, although now DBE mentions it perhaps the bantams were half a day early. They were all the same size initially but we separated them at 4 weeks as they were being bullied.

We have hatched mixed size eggs under broody and in the inccie.
Our pekin eggs can pip by day 19. One day or so earlier than say RIR eggs.
Never caused too much of a problem but as DBE says they did have plenty of space in brooder and 2 or 3 feeding points.
