You need to ring your local council and register you land as a holding, they will provide you with a holding number (CPH)

DEFRA will tell you your local office number, it may not be that local! But they'll issue your number, and we've always found them really helpful

You get your CPH number by contacting the RPA on 0845 603 7777. You must then register with your local Animal Health Office to obtain a Herd Mark. Finally, contact your local Trading Standards Office for Animal Movement Licences.
