Can anyone help me ..... to win a loaf of homemade bread?   Don't ask  ::) ;D .... there's not a lot to do up here in the hills.  ;D
Here's the quiz.

  3 Self esteem in the city
  4 Smokers' flower
  5 Left too long in the fire

  7 A new one is cleaner
  8 Jungle fop

We are stuck on a few ... not very good at flowers ... thought some clever gardeners may be able to help.  ;D :fc:

I'm thinking fop = coxcomb and cocks comb ie on a jungle fowl

simpler would be:
Dandelion : dandy + lion

There's also a dandy pot made for african marigolds...

edit: they wouldn't be using marigold twice.. so dandelion.
