Yes, I know I am sad, but it is the only TV show I watch.
Saturday nights I am not allowed to work or study, so TV it is. The three of us watch this with crisps and pop and chill out together for the night - its the only night we do it. ;D ;D
Any others enjoy it? Who do you want to win? ??? ::)
I think there are some good singers - Olly, Danyl, Stacey, Lucie, Joe and Jamie all have their own style and great voices. ;D
Danni was cruel last week to Danyl, :o and I hope she behaves herself.
Louis is missing again because of the funeral today in Dublin, :'(
so his bands are gonna struggle, of the two left only the three girls that were grouped by the show have any talent -
sorry John and Edward but you are not singing material.
Maybe the future Ant and Dec for Ireland.
So come on guys, tell me what you think, and lets see what happens tonite - wine and cheese at the ready ... something to look forward to after a busy day.
Stacey or Daryl to win - thats my prediction. ( Lucie is good too though)
Oh and what do you think of the judges - I LOVE Simon - he's so honest ;D ;D ;D
I love Louis too, cute smile for a wrinkly older guy ;D ;D ;D
Cheryl - I hate that bitch - she has almost everything ( I would dump Ashley) ;)
Danni - ? She annoyed me with the comments about Daryl recently, and she is a bit false - not as down to earth as Cheryl.
-
I didn't used to watch but my friend and I post comments on facebook about it which is far funnier than the show!!
My other pals just log in to see what we're writing!
I would like stacey to win but lucie has major potential!!
-
I will be watching - the girls love it too !
Rebecca thinks Cheryl is fantastic, don't know if I agree with that - but after Ms Minogue's comments to Danyl last week she's certainly gone way down in my estimation >:( Did she think she was being clever ? I hope there will be an apology from her this week.
I like Lucie and Danyl too - who will win ? I honestly don't know.
Love Simon, Louie seems to change his views depending on which of the other judges he's fallen out with. I like Cheryl (sorry to be contraversal) I just think she's real, honest and down to earth, after all she got her break in the same way, so she's the only one who can really understand what the contestants are going through. Dani - blurgh, can't stand her - BRING BACK MRS O ;D
Don't think I like the Saturday / Sunday format - maybe because I'm terribly impatient ;) Could end up being overkill by the end of the series.
-
I said I hate Cheryl tounge in cheek - shes got it all & I love her to bits - plus shes a northern lass, just like me - I had eyes like hers too when I was younger ( huh age!)
Gorgeous looks, good figure, sense of humour, down to earth - as I say the only thing I would change about her is that husband - he's not good enough for her and if I was her I would leave him.
-
HH Danni apologised last week in the results show - ITV had 4,000 complaints about her comment!
I love Jamie Afro, not sure about Daryn yet, Twins are odious, Cheryl is lovely, Simon honest, Louie irritating and claps like a seal! Danni is cardboard, Stacey is a caricature of a caricature, but lovely and sings beautifully.
I love X factor and will be a hermit every Sat and Sun 'til its over. Oh and the choreographer is bloody gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Brian :yum:
;D ;D ;D
-
Watch it every week (just about). We have even converted my boyfriend to it as well. My neices also love it, and always pick their favourite when their favourite goes out though they are devasted. One neice was so upset last year when Ruth went out.
I like Jamie, Olly, Rachel ( I like Lloyd too, but not so much for his singing talents ;) ) Jon and Edward are horrible, Stacey can sing so well, but she's so- well... ???

lol, I must admite i don't have time for tv at the moment, What with baby and my parent are up here (going home on monday). But i did sit down and sat watching a couple of films on sky this afternoon.
-
Bring back Perry Como! ;)
-

-
You must be too young if you don't know who that is. 'Magic Moments', 'White Christmas' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perry_Como

Ah! I'll stick to drooling over Brian! Shame about the name though!

And she's going on to mime tomorrow night. A few years ago Girls Aloud performed at a charity concert the hotel I was manager of hosted. The girls arrived and were a bunch of vile, talentless and demanding madams. They were rude to my staff, the journalists and trashed their rooms. They then came on stage and performed 4 songs and mimed to every one of them, where is the talent there????

Yes agree with you on the above - he should grow his hair though.
-
Watched the show and a bit dissapointed - Stacey's song was not a great choice and you could see she was not comfy with it- she still did her best bless her.
Danyl, Jamie, Olly and Lucie seemed to perform best today.
Don't know what will happen after tonite - will have to watch tomorrow
Is it me, or does Simon not perform as well without Louis there???? :o
-
Bring back Perry Como! Wink
Sad about the death last week of Al Martino.
-
Is it me or are ALL the contestants a bit mediocre ???
-
Sandy I think there are 2 possibly 3 that may be good but the others are dreadful INHO. Having had lots of spare time this week I have discivered Paloma Faith and her new album - now there is a STAR.
-
Shall have a look!!!!!
-
Her single is great, but I'm always a bit skeptical of buying albums incase the single is the only good song on it. Is it really that good? My favorite to listen to is Jack Savoretti at the moment.

-
He's got a lovely voice - kinda reminds me a bit of Lynard Skynnard.
I'm loving Jason Mraz - this song's got such a happy vibe

Jack Savoretti - great voice, great looks - the full package!!

I never buy albums these days, I play all my music through "Spotify". It is completely safe and legal, you do not download any on to your PC and can listen to almost anything you want. www.spotify.com - you will get a small advert every 10 minutes or so but I pay £9.99 a month as I use this to play all music in the hotel and get no adverts. You can make play lists, save albums on a play list etc. I think it's a great and safe system and Yes Paloma Faith's album is brilliant, I think! Listen for free on spotify.
-
OK Will do!
-
I think Cheryl was singing for real, but why has she got a song where she is struggling to reach the low notes. The dancing and higher notes were great! In fact she surprised me!
-
Whitney Huston looked a bit rough and not really with it - does she have a drug/drink problem? Something seemed just a bit odd about her! ???
-
I'm glad I'm not the only Spotify addict, James! My oldest usually hogs it and the only negative is that you can't download to put it on a MP3 or I-pod (or cd...) yet - about to change I think! I love Spotify to check out songs and artists I only know the name of, and you get the whole song as many times as you want, not only a taster for 20 seconds. :&>

It looked as though she was "out of her box" didn't it? Whitney and her husband are well known druggies but she claims to have cleaned up her act and got her life back. Not last night she didn't! Looking forward to seeing what the press make of her performance.
-
Have just "googled" this mornings papers and there appears to be a public out cry at the state of Whitney and they also claim she did not sing live. Cheryl Colse is getting great reviews and the "Mail" claims she sang the first verse live and then it was pre recorded - the wonders of technology!
-
Listening just now to Alexandra Burkes album that was released today and first impressions are - its good! Good old Spotify.
-
Lovin the X factor!! I thought Cheryl sang some of it live, I could hear the 'change' over! What on earth was she wearing though? I thought she looked dreadful ::)
As for Whitney she looked very 'spaced out'! Oh I'm such a bitch!! ;D
Thought Olly was brilliant last night and Jamie, but it should've been the twins that went they were terrible!
-
I am thinking of inventing a new cocktail - "The X factor cocktail!" I think the bars would make a killing if it gave us all the same effect that Robbie and Whitney both had! :P
Anyone fancy one?

Gill, would you want to look anything like these 2 loosers??????
-
This all sounds like we really missed something, blimey! ;D :&>
-
Did any one see last nights show (sunday 25 October)? I thought the song all the contestants sang at the beginning of the show was mimed, any one else think this?
-
I didn't think it was mimed - but I wasn't paying that much attention ;)
What on earth happened with the voting ? I couldn't believe that John & Edward weren't in the bottom 2 ! I know they're entertaining, but c'mon ???
-
Do you not think the whole show is a con? These surprising results get people talking and they then get more determined to vote more the next week to save their favourite. Voting/phone calls make the show money. I always think they should show just how the public have voted any how.
Years ago I had a friend of a friend who was a producer or something to do with the show "Stars in their eyes". I was told that that was rigged as each week they could have some one impersonation eg. Madonna. So in the final they couldn't have 2 of the same so they made sure that never happened.
-
What ye all probably do not know, is that Southern Ireland cannot Vote :o
We can watch it, but we cannot use our telephone system or mobiles to vote.
So whoever is voting for John and Edward are in the UK :o :o :o
There nice kids, but cannot sing, and should'nt be there - they would make good
Childrens TV hosts or maybe an Irish Ant and Dec in a few years - got to give
them some respect for their strength to keep hoing after all the booing - there only kids'
Anyway - I think the judges are to blame for giving Rachel glowing reports when she is rubbish, false and has no personality - they cost Miss Frank votes - they changed the votes to Rachels favour.
Lloyd will not make a star either, so I thought Rachel and Lloyd should have been on the bottom two - the kids are voting for John and Edward.
Think about who votes - young girls and school kids, then people from a Country that can vote (like Wales can vote for Lloyd and Lucie)
All the Northern people that like Cheryl are probably voting for Joe, hes a nice kid, but again not star material - maybe Cruise ships and hotel cabaret - but not a big star, his voice is not good enough.
It is all set up for TV -that bit about an Emergency meeting that Brian had to rush off to, is all to make the voters wonder whats going on - they probably know who the last three are that
they want in, then just play games with the rest of them, changing the voting by their comments on the nights to eliminate the others with a bit of pazzaz instead of it being too
easy to guess
-
I couldn't believe Danyl was in the bottom 2 :o I think he's brilliant, I thought Miss Frank were terrible in their 2nd song, I'm glad they went instead, but John and Edward plleeaase get 'em off! How could Loius slate Simon for bending the rules when the twins sang nothing big bandish either!
-
to be honest, we all sort of lost interest after a few weeks this year (even the kids!). Britain's got Talent was so much better! Might tune in again later, who knows... :&>
-
I'm glad Miss Frank have gone, want John and Edward out, love Stacey, Jamie, Lucie and Ollie.
-
Olly was brilliant tonight, whats wrong with louis, he's slating everyone?
Anyone see Harry Hill tonight, it was so funny ;D
-
I am a fan of X-factor and look forward to Saturday nights. This year there are more singers that are good so who is going to win is not so easy to say. John and Edward may not have a good singing voice but they do entertain and i can see them doing something in the future on TV. The start this year almost put us off and I hope in future they go back the old way of doing the show.
-
Hey snoopy. I don't think it's fair that you can't vote. tell me who you want to vote for and will do it for you.
-

Sheila - How lovely of you to offer to vote on our behalf - Thanyou so much.
We have only just got back from a hectic weekend of work and play and sat down to watch the recordings of both last nights and tonights shows.
So we were too late to vote - but had we been at home - I would have asked you to vote for Olly as I think he was the best this week, and Stacey was really good too. ;D ;D
Well, much to a lot of peoples annoyance, the two Dublin boys are still in - but still can't sing :o
I do hope they get jobs here on TV though as they are real tryers and very entertaining. ;D When the whole group come out to perform together it is the boys that you see dancing, smiling and generally having a genuine good time. ;D ;D ;D
Can see why people don't think they should be there -but hey, I think the show would be quite boring without them. :o
So who's everyone voting for out of the last seven ( not counting jedward ) contestants ::) ???
-
Not read other posts as I have been busy but, the twins WILL be the only ones to make money..they cannot sing but are more entertaining than the other cr** singers!!! :-[Woops, sorry, my opinion only........ ::)
-
What an absloute pile of crap this years show is. I just watched clips of lastnights "Queen" night and it was awful IMO. I have to say the only act that brought a smile to my face was The Twins! At least they make you laugh, Stacey can't sing and Olly was the pits, even Danyl struggled, not impressed at all. I think they have turned Joe in to looking like a Rent Boy!!! What do you think?
-
The only decent one has been booted out and that was Lucie Jones. But I'm sure she'll make it on her own now; she looks good and has a great voice which can only get better ;D
-
James, I agree with you, not keen on anyone other than the Twins, they at least entertain me and I thought listening to music was about that! I would not rush out to buy any of the contestants songs, yet last years winner ALexander Burke certainly has true X Factor. The Twins will be around for a long time, doubt any of the others will!!
-
Isn't life strange - now everyone loves the lads from Dublin hehehe
You are right about Joe - why on earth do they dress him in such dowdy weird clothes.
Will be interesting to see what happens this week ;D
