Hi all. Just when all the hens seem to be laying, for the last 2 days when I've collected the eggs I have found what i would call a soggy egg. its clear it had a yoke but the shell is like a popped balloon. I'm feeding them on layer pellets (advice from the local shop, said it contains everything they need) they also get carrot peelings etc from the garden and they have a run thats about 5m x 6m.
Is this caused because they aren't getting enough grit or is it something else.
Thanks.

May well be a one-off YoungRasher so I wouldn't worry about it yet. Perfectly normal to get one occasionally, especially with very young or very old birds.

They're called lash eggs and when whole are wonderful to put into a poor unsuspecting child's hand :D (I'm so sick 8))
I would give them some grit and oyster shell just to be sure they have everything they need.
