Seen this on Facebook. Can you explain 'bad conformation for me' please? I see things from a canine point of view but would appreciate an equine one. Thank you.

I believe it is an Akhal Teke, native to Turkmenistan where it is the national emblem.

Stunning yet I find it a bit ugly!
-
hells bells imagine trying to keep that clean! :o

Wow, what a shine. It looks lovely and ugly at the same time. Its a bit like the old fashioned paintings where they couldn't get the perspective right and things don't seem to be in proportion

looks spray painted to me!

Beautiful image, but liberal use of photoshop me thinks (where are the muscles?!) and I'm not sure I'd want to risk riding!

By some very "light-boned" individuals methinks...

they are very tough apparently, and very aloof. They are breeding them very extreme these days, its a shame. They were in my book of horses when I was a kid and I always wanted one of these, an Exmoor and an Alter Real (I have the Exmoors and a lusitano-so nearly!). They've always been known for that metallic sheen but that almost lizard like appearance is a bit much for me. they aren't all like that (I expect akhal teke halter showing is as nonsensical as arabian in hand showing )

Where does it keep its lungs? It appears to have no ribcage!

If my lad saw that coming towards him whilst out on a hack he would spin around and take off!

Really hate this age of photoshopped images. Trying to give the impression that everything or everyone featured in a photo is without blemishes etc. Really is just so unreal and gives such an unrealistic impression to young people in particular who get taken in by the "perfect" cover girl/boy thus making them think they are totally inadequate themselves. Really wish they would bring back the "what you see is what you get" images!
