Looking for clippers to do my small flock on don't have mains electric where I am so something I can use with a car battery? Don't fancy doing 19 with hand sheers.....

I have a lister laser 2 that goes onto a 12v car battery!
Its easy to take places and very convenient, however the handpeice weighs 1.6 kilo and I have very little hands, I struggle to hold the handpeice for a long period of time as its just so big so I cant wrap my hands around effectively
However I think all battery handsets are going to be similar as the works are in the handset
I got tired of trying to use it and I didnt think it was working properly (most likely just needed sharpening) so I did my flock of 20 adult sheep by hand with some nice sharp blades :)

I bought a cheap chinese ebay sheep clipper... can't comment on how good it is compared to 'real' ones since I've never used 'real' ones..but it does do the job...albeit they are heavy. They are 230v jobbies so i also bought a cheap inverter (changes car battery 12v to 230v) which I've also used on the tractor battery to power a computer and internet when we've had a power cut

Thats interesting with the inverter, I've burnt out a pair of Heiniger battery ones, bought cheap plug in ones that literally fell apart and am waiting to kill plug in Listers (the best yet) run off a little generator, the problem is the cheap generator at present! :hshoe:
