Title: Green legs on chick.
Post by: mentalmilly on May 15, 2014, 07:28:11 pm
Having hatched 9 maran chicks who are 3 weeks old, l see one has green legs.  Is this usual for a maran, l think its a boy, or would the chick be a mixed breed?  I have not seen the parents so cant guarantee they are true marans.  What other breeds have green legs l wonder?  Has anyone come across this themselves?  He is a lovely looking chick, brownish but like some maran pictures l have seen.

Never kept Marans so can't help much but my neighbour has Marsh Daisies. They have green legs!

I've got a couple of Maran x hybrid or Maran x Light Sussex chicks (not sure which, probably x hybrid) with green legs too :)
