Title: pink eye

Some of my lamb ewes have sore eyes I think it may be pink eye has anyone had any experiance of this condition.

Yep.  Can be nasty if not treated with antibiotic cream they can literally go blind. Your vet should be able to advise you, but if it is pink eye it can spread quite quickly through the flock, so seperate them until such time as you can be sure of what it is.

Have separated the four affected sheep and am treating with eye cream from the vet seems to be working, vet said it should show an improvement after three days. keeping an eye on the other four that were in the same field but they seem all right. Nasty thing one of the remedies is an injectsion in the eye lid ouch!. I was in hospital for a week at the beginning of the year with a burnt eye due to some plaster getting in and I did not enjoy the treatment so I have a lot of sympathy for these poor sheep.
