Only got one baby on a bottle this year, his mum had mastitis and i had to shoot his twin. 7 weeks old and was down to just half a bottle in the mornings. Eating humungous amounts of creep. He is living with his dried up mum and 2 old girls. Decided to move them to a paddock on the other side of the farm last night so he was out of sight from me for weaning. Ho hum!! Went out this morning to do cows and horses and within 10 minutes a wee little white blob appeared over the horizon and full speed. He had broken through the very powerful elec sheep netting, taking his mum and friends with him. Arrived at my garden bleating for his breakfast!!

Well bring him over for a shouting match with wee Alice - she's a frail-looking thing, but my goodness she can shout!

Ah sweet little Alice  we have Boreray twins soooo tiny and a single today.
Like you say just because they are small dont mean they aint got attitude ! :sheep:

I wonder if it's something about being wee. Ava is the tiniest of our lambs, about half the size of most of them, but there is nothing wrong with her lungs! From the moment she was born she was shouting for attention. The rest of my Castlemilks seems to be really quiet and non-vocal.
-
The only castlemilk I've ever heard making any noise was Doug's ram. The two young ones are very quiet.

They are a very quiet breed. The ram has been shouting a bit since he was separated for lambing but this lamb is a right noisy little tinker!
