One of my twin ewes born yesterday has a couple of growths on her eyelid. As far as I can tell it isn't bothering her and doesn't seem to be affecting the eye.
Has anyone seen anything like this before and can anything be done?

I haven't a clue what they are but it might be possible for the vet to ligate them with a piece of suture. There are a couple on the nose too. They look as if they will be quite annoying as she grows older.
If they are very full of blood then the vet may well say just to leave them. Don't try to do anything on your own with them - I know you wouldn't :sheep:

Thanks Fleecewife. I am going to try to take some better pics and then take those pics to the vet with me on Monday. Will let you know what they advise.

They may just be pollops and can disappear in time, let us know what the vet says B.

She has been to the vet this morning and he says the lumps are begnin (not sure thats the correct spelling). He doesn't think its worth trying to do anything to them as they are not affecting her sight, but suggests that we don't try to breed from her.
As its just cosmetic i will leave them be but will keep checking them, just in case.
It also means that one decision has already been taken for me - this one is for meat.

Hopefully you had some other ewe lambs that you are able to keep :)
Out of 23 lambs so far only 5 of mine are ewe lambs and only 3 of those are keepers! I would hate for me to have to send one away :gloomy:

Wow, that's a lot of ram lambs.
I have had 8 lambs out of 5 ewes. 5 ewe lambs and 3 rams. Hopefully some will be good enough to register as pedigree but it's too early to tell just yet.
I don't I have much land but would like to keep a couple of ewes lambs. The rest will either go for meat or breeding, depending on their markings.
