Title: Insurance
Post by: novicesmallholder on April 07, 2014, 08:31:17 pm
Hi, dont know if I have asked before. I am looking for flock insurance, for theft and 3rd party only. Every one I have approached had said they  either dont do it, of want to include buildings or get me to take home insurance as well. Does any one know of anyone who does simple theft and 3rd party I surance for sheep? Cheers

You also need public liability in case your sheep get out and cause an accident.

There are a few threads on here about insurance ... search for smallholder insurance etc

I got a policy that covers all the above from the NFU. I did find cheaper quotes but make sure you look at what is actually covered. I was happy with the nfu quote and I just ring up and add things if anything changes. as of yet the cost has never gone up.
