Title: Raised hen house

To save space in my chickens evening pen I've put there box about 3-4 foot in the air with a ladder few went right up I seen the idea on river cottage will they take too it? Mainly warrens and a few hybrids

In river cottage they had to be trained to use the ladder, but it was far higher than yours. They will probably fly to the top and back down again. We have steps to ours but some fly and some actually use every step. A raised house is easier to clean and less likely to see rats and mice.
