Just had to share how proud I am of my beautiful Herdy Bluebell. I came home from work yesterday to find 2 beautiful twins - male and female - she'd lambed all by herself just like last year when she also had twins (one of each) in exactly the same spot in the field! She is a first class mother - Herdys sometimes get a bad rap but my experience of them is that they are beautiful, gentle, intelligent and amazing mums - my other 2 are due to lamb any day now - they both had lambs last year also with no problems. Big up the Herdys! I will post photos soon so you can also appreciate these little beauties! They each have a squashed ear at the moment, probably how they were lying in the womb. Super cute!
Hope all of you who are in the midst of lambing are having positive expetriences :fc: photos on @julesmanools on twitter (sorry files too large to add and I'm struggling to find a way to get them on :((http://)

I loved looking at the herdwicks on the hills when I went to the lake district last year, they looked like lovely polar bears :) very pretty sheep.

Only charmoise and shetland lambs so far, nothing from paddy yet, but still have ten to lamb :)

Another set of twins born to another of my very clever herdy girls! two tup lambs this time - goergous and no problems at all despite driving rain and wind! The four of them are skipping about and having races in the sunshine as I type :)
