my tom cat could give a few human dads some tips on rearing their babies :D
We have the farm cats living in an old caravan - have a couple of litters of kittens just now. The smaller ones are about 4 weeks old, and begining to explore. The cat has put them up on the caravan bench seats, so I have put them in a cardboard box to stop them falling on the floor! Anyway, big cat goes off hunting during the day, and tom cat does not venture out that much due to the other tom pasting him if he meets him .....so he does a spot of baby sitting with the kittens.
I returned home at lunch time, and went to see if tom would risk going out - he does if the other tom is not about. I discovered that he was sitting on the other bench seat opposite the kittens with one of the kittens snuggled up to him. I presume it had climbed out of the box, fallen onto the floor, and he had lifted it up on to "his" bed to keep it safe!!
What a good dad!!

I thought you would never ask, Little Blue :D
Its a case of getting the little furry bundles to stand still for a pic - now if you see a pic, you will want a kitten, won't you .......or two!!!

You know we'd love one... especially a black and white one!! But Sheba would probably eat it, the tabby cat would sulk and white-with-oily-fingermarks would love it to death, and lead it astray!! My big tom cat hasnt come home yet... I' m not giving up on him though
