Title: hello from the wolds :)
Post by: Heff_77 on March 27, 2014, 06:58:00 pm
Hi everyone,
I have been reading through several posts and this is a very useful forum!
I am currently looking at investing in a small holding, as I have seen several plots of land to rent locally, thinking about just keeping enough livestock to be at least semi self sufficient, just trying to work out costings bit will keep you all informed if I take the plunge. Any lincolnshire people on here with offers or advice are more than welcome to make themselves known  :fc:

Hello and welcome from Carnoustie

We have 10 acres of grass plus veg and fruit garden and 10 acres of rented grass; we've just planted 120 apple trees in our six hen paddocks (we run about 100 laying hens and sell the eggs at the road end); we raise a couple of weaner pigs and a batch or two of meat chickens for the freezer and we breed Coloured Ryeland sheep and Shetland cattle. All good fun! Welcome to the mad world of smallholding
