always looking for new ways to enrich their pen are they allowed squash to peck at?
-
I give mine overgrown courgette, they love it! I cut off some of the skin along the long side and they hollow it out, seeds and all, so squash should be ok.
-
Can't imagine why not. I expect they'll enjoy it!

Mine love courgettes and pumpkins ..... same sort of thing so guess they are okay.
-
Ours get it and they love the seeds
-
well apparently it was very exciting as it was yellow...
it got attacked, then they gave up and went to bed, i'm sure they'll finish it tomorrow!!!
-
Ours love courgettes and squashes as a treat - I just cut them in half - eventually i just have to pick up the outer skins - theres nothing else left of them.

We have the same experience as Q. They eventually eat the lot leaving just the skins. I avoided giving them large seeds like pumpkins though as I was concerned about impaction.
