Hiya all just wanted to share this with you.
It the end of September and i have got my frist ever outdoor tomatoes in scotland !!!!
they where put out late and a lot later than my greenhouse ones (got them very reduced in a supermarket sale)
Have been getting bucket loads from my greenhouse plants and was planning to move the tomatoes (they are in pots)in to the greenhouse (once the greenhouse ones had finished) had finished to ripen up

Who said you couldn't grow tomatoes outside in scotland !!!!! (the spot is very windy and very sunny)

Well done, might try that myself next year. My toms have been a disaster - but the green tomato chutney is good!

I had 2 handfuls of outdoors tumbling toms, small orange cherry tomatoes. I had lots of different plants which ended up outside as my OH broke his shoulder and the greenhouse has to wait for it's glass until he's mended...All the other variety were about to get blight and I used them green for chutney and mincemeat (after an adjusted American recipe) yum! :&>
