Sanaen,Saanen,Sanaan,
Saenen,Saenan.
Of all the problems I've had over the years with goats I never thought spelling would be one of them!! lol
Wish I'd got a Nubian, Toggenburg, Alpine or Pygmy..... :roflanim:

I thought Bagot was pronounced...well ...Bag-ott!
then I saw as question on a quiz show where they pronounced it "Baaa-Jo". I still don't know how it is supposed to be.
-
According to the BGS, it's Saanen but I've seen it other ways. In fact, I think I've been spelling it wrong occasionally.
Shygirl, according to Wikipedia, it should rhyme with Maggot.

Embden, Ebden, Emden is another one. you see allsorts of spelling in an advert. I always thought it was Embden though.

I often wish I hadn't got Zwartbles because I really struggle with the name, I bought them from a judge who pronounced them zvart blaze, but when I try people look at me as if I've gone mad and say oh Zwartbles. ;D :sheep:

Wether for the castrated male goat, whether for the alternative, weather for the sunshine and rain, werther for the original butterscotch sweets. Simples.

ha, my mum used to say SUGAR as a swear word, I remember as a very young kid, my granny saying "sugar, sugar" and thinking she was swearing when infact she was actually looking for some sugar :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

I had a great aunt who always said 'darn' it, or, when really annoyed, 'double darn it'. Sounds funny now but probably no funnier than my favourite which is 'poodle bums'. I might change it to 'bagots' though.
