Title: Stolen Chickens
Post by: mintytwoshoes on March 15, 2014, 02:36:57 pm
Hi Everyone,

Just to advertise a theft of chickens last weekend from our local farm park in Forfar,Angus.  There were several pens emptied, they have no auracanas, marsh daisys, pollards or partridge pekins left.  The pekins had only just been put outside.

Please be aware if you see any being sold - it is especially bad as this is a charity and the people have worked really hard to build this from scratch.

That's terrible. With keeping chickens becoming more popular thieves are seeing  an opportunity to make money  >:(

I know Mojo - some of my stock came from there too - but not my dumpy cockerels.  They are always so helpful and nothing is too much trouble.  I went to get something different to put under my pekin who is broody!  I was thinking of a couple of Marsh daisy eggs.
Pete was certainly upset !!

Just to add that they knew what they were doing as they stole in trios so probably for breeding or selling on! Plus took the more valuable and more attractive types.
