I went off to buy two large black gilts today, long story, didn't get them as they'd escaped, but...
In conversation to avoid her embarressment the lady mentioned she had bought duck eggs from a man in fife who had a hoteland had goats!!!
Ringing any bells!!
So I said, James Lindsay!! "yes" was the reply, "Do you know him?".
Well in a kinda roundabout fashion I do!!!
Veryvery small world, I thought.
James, you're famous!!

Well, I heard about him from a friend I made through Clacks freecycle(now Freegle). She bred two of his Cocker Spaniels - then I spotted him on here and recognised his dogs. Have been to the Hotel - can thoroughly recommend the food as well as the entertainment - a jaunt through the park with the animals.

That would be Lisa then Lee? It is indeed a small world we live in. :) Thanks Annie for your kind words too. :)
-
It is Lisa.
Well remembered!!
-
They were a lovely family, I enjoyed meeting them.

I remember my Dad being in Preston (he had a boat there) and the harbourmaster knew of one of his fishing friends in Shetland ! Same fishing friend, by coincidence, gets our equine dentist neighbour up to do his horses teeth, not realising where she lived !
It IS a small world - is there not a theory that everyone in the world can be linked to another in 6 steps ? Sure I remember something about that ???
-
Always amazes me how small the world is......
-
Don't be amazed.
I went into the tack shop at the livery yard where I keep my horse. I was chatting to the owner and menioned that we kept pigs. "Oh", she said, "my sister's brother-in-law's wife (keep up now) keeps pigs down by Tarbert. She has Tamworths and Kune Kune". "Oh," I replied, 'Her name's not Lee, is it?" "How did you know?" Carrie said. "Ah, TAS", I replied.
See, small world.

I was visiting my cousin Morag in Dunblane; over a cuppa her partner Vince said 'how's the ducks and chickens' Fine I said, did you know I've joined a local forum and a smallholders association. 'Oh he says, you might meet up with my niece some time then' - guess who? Lu & Bobby! TAS and CSSA links the World!
