Hi,
I was just reading the post on the "Shetland Isle being on TV", when I spotted the advert below the post which was
Shetland Lamb PDO
www.briggs-shetlandlamb.co.uk (http://www.briggs-shetlandlamb.co.uk)
Chilled Native Shetland Lamb Order now for October delivery
I was sure the D in the 1st line was an O and was thinking someone must have a great outlet for it, as you have to order now for delivery in October!!!!!!!! :roflanim: :roflanim:
It wasn't until I put my glasses on I realised it was a D, what an idiot :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: but I still don't know what PDO stands for.
Regards
Sue

PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN (PDO) In recognition of the different characteristics of the meat, the distinctive red and yellow PDO symbol has been awarded to Shetland Lamb that is less than 12 months old and produced as well as slaughtered in Shetland.
took a bit of searching. :relief:

I'm as bad. I was trying to read a book title upside down and was confused, wondering what a book could be about if it was called 'The Sausage Garden'. It was only when I looked at it the right way that I realised it actually said 'The Savage Garden'.
And I had my glasses on. And yes, I had been to Specsavers.
