She has taken over the boys, they are so good with her. Rascal on the other hand might not be too happy as he will have to have a trip to the vet soon. Can't have an entire male dog with Isla being a bitch. Jake was done years ago. She very smart.

She is a sweetie.

Just had my Flattie "done". I know it's crazy but I found it really difficult and I know it can prevent health problems down the line (had to have dogs and bitches done as emergencies or for health reasons as they got old) but found it a difficult trip to make. Ohhh ... don't know why and he's still just the same and couldn't have Flattalabs or whatever you'd call them.  ;D

Isla is doing very well with the house training, much better than Rascal was at this age. She is learning that the hens and cats are not for chasing, keeps well clear of the ponies. This morning she was running about with something in her mouth and was not keen to give up her prize. turned out to be a hens egg that she found in the straw. After much carry on I did manage to get it from her, not even cracked. Looks like she has the mouth of the Lab.

No, she has a soft mouth - not all labs have soft mouths.  ::) I train my Brittanys on eggs to improve their retrieving capabilities.

I thought as a gundog breed labs would have a nice soft mouth, is this down to breeding.
