Anyone else had any late kiddings in dairys this year ? We have only kidded 3 Dairys this time Cherry and her 2 daughters Bluebell and Snowdrop
Cherry was due on Saturday 1st March and gave birth on Wednesday the 5th to Quads
Snowdrop was due on Sunday 2nd March and gave birth Today 1 single
Bluebell was due on the 3rd March and still has not given birth
These 3 where all 3 days late the last time aswell

Mine isn't due until 9th May and it's her first so I have no idea how she will be.

Up to 7 days late is not usually a problem............................anything over this can be dangerous. The kid/s can be oversized and therefore may present an impossible birth............caesarean !!! Or , the first kid/all kids are dead and therefore CANNOT be born normally.
My advice is, call the vET tomorrow and discuss ........... he/she should at least check that the kids are still alive.

We had the same with our first one too sokel. Six days late, single male kid. However Arwen was late last year too, and I think she might just be inclined to always go late. We don't have anymore due until 21st, then the 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th. Though, two of those are AN first kidders, and I wouldn't expect them to go over as much.
Rosali, one of my mums best goats struggled to have female kids. We got one from her as a second kidder (which died at 6 weeks old), and then either males or dead kids after that. So, she was nine, and in desperation mum mated her to a British Saanen male, because he was 5, and every mating he'd ever done, there had always been a female kid. Rosali went a week overdue. Mum was having kittens, thinking the kids had died inside and that she would die too. At 10 days overdue, she went into labour. An enormous kid, mum had to get the vet out to help. A live, single female kid. So they can still have live kids. We still have her decesdents, Rula, Ranvir and Ria in the herd.
