viewed another good option today..23 acres…. it would have been perfect…if the place wasn't already under offer with the 2nd estate agent that the 1st knew nothing about ..plus i didn't like the fact that the shooting and fishing rights belong to someone else……. the search continues  ;D

I thought you were announcing a change of career! Keep going, something will turn up - the market normally picks up in about March time, doesn't it?

the career change will come once i have the land HesterF  ;D
the only problem is when the market picks up, the prices go up too …the search continues  ;D

Sometimes things happen for a reason and you'll find something that suits just right.

Have you considered widening your search area ?

yes and no..we did look at wales, but that ended up in what could have been grief..so Devon is going to be our spot, plus i have a disabled sister here , so i don't want to be a million miles away
