CHECK YOUR POLICIES

Tizz ,
Is that you as the named person or is it some email chain letter doing the rounds most likely originated by anti fracking people ?
-
Please could I encourage you all to become as well informed on this subject as possible?
Films that are a good starting point for further research can be found on youtube. Could I suggest:
Ian R Crane - Fractured Future.
Gasland (2010)
There is a lot of misdirection, obfuscation and misinformation in the mass media.
I would encourage everyone to do the background research themselves.
Thanks and best wishes to all.

No not mine I found it in FB.

That's the trouble with the faceache.. anyone can post on it same with Wikki etc . it matters not a jot if it is correct incorrect or a blooming outright lie.
Here is a link for info that been given to me several times my some of my highly skilled drilling and petrochemical plant managing engineering friends.
In it found some less dramatic info on the engineering aspects involved. That we are to drill far deeper than most countries should see very few problems arise . Adding to that is the way our drilling safety legislation is promogulated.
I feel that fracking for gasification of unreachable uneconomical coal seams in the UK is going to be a very safe way of making /gaining energy . Much safer than Nuclear generation , coal mining for burning or oil burning power generation.

If it is , as they claim, for power production then we don't need it, we have more than enough flowing water in this country to make full use of hydro power, but as usual greed comes before common sense.
-
Time the UK woke up to the reality that gas is running out and if home produced isn't available people will have to get rather cold or pay for expensive imported gas.

"US researchers behind a study that showed links between gas drilling and sickness in livestock. "
An article that may be of interest.

Thanks to all who are reading, researching and making up their own minds.
