Title: Feeding Orphaned Baby Giraffe
Post by: Unicorn on September 18, 2009, 01:23:04 pm
Here is a picture of my daughter feeding an orphaned baby Giraffe at Dublin Zoo

She was really priviledged to get into the keepers area and feed the baby giraffe -
she had a wonderful time, and three weeks later when we visited, the Giraffe
remembered Tara and came up to the viewing area to see her.

Tara is stood at the top of a ladder, on a platform, about 8ft high.

Thought you were going to say that you were taking it home as you couldn't get the puppies!

That's very cool! I bet she did have a great time, I LOVE giraffes myself too. Here I am petting a friends giraffe. (http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff30/CranberriesMom/girraffeandI.jpg)

I think there is something magical about giraffes. Years ago we did a safari in Kenya and one of the highlights for me was seeing these wonderful, majestic animals freely wander. You are very privelaged.
