Title: Goats wanted- Gloucestershire or thereabouts
Post by: mariegold on February 12, 2014, 09:40:52 pm
Hello,

We are looking for a couple of milking goats with or without kids. Just taken on a lovely big field, goatproofed it (hopefully) and have a nice warm stable.
We are first time goat keepers (have kept/cared for just about every other farm animal), have read all the books, been on a course and spoke to fellow goat keepers.
Does or will anyone have some goats for sale in the Gloucestershire area please? Did have some lined-up on preloved but been a bit messed about  :-[
Many thanks!

I do know someone in Shropshire who may still have some. Is that too far?

I am in Telford if you fancied visiting to meet my goats and pick my brains.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Shropshire could be do-able, do you have the contact details?

Thanks also for your brain picking offer! I'm quite lucky to have a neighbour who keeps goats but if she has enough of my 'oh and one more thing' sentences I might take you up on it.   ;D

I'll check with her and let you have the details. How lucky is that to have a goaty neighbour.  :D

Just a thought. There is a group on Facebook for goats for sale and wanted. It would be worth looking on there. Someone in Wiltshire has a couple for sale - a 3 year old BT and her BT x Sanaan daughter from last year.
