Title: Hello from the Republic of Ireland
Post by: Anne.W on February 09, 2014, 01:13:19 pm
Hi everyone. Have just joined this site as I think exchange of views and experience is important for small holders.
A bit about us, we are retired organic farmers, originally from the UK, now we have just 2 acres of land. We still produce most of our own veg, chicken and ducks for the table and eggs, plus quail.
No longer fit enough to go running after sheep and goats we are hoping to get a couple of pigs this summer to clear a large area of bramble.
Currently experimenting with sausage making and curing bacon in preparation for having our own pigs.
