Title: Another pygmy goat birth question photos added

Have another pygmy deliver tonight at 7.45

Delivery went well,mum cleaned up and kid has had a suckle.

Afterbirth came away after an hour

Mum has eaten some hay and drunk a fair bit of water.

She still seems to be having contractions and every time she has one she is making a soft chattering sound, does this sound like there could be another one coming.

Could she be "chattering" to goat in next stall that she can't see?

She is settled now and I am not overly worried.

But, every time she makes this soft sound ( which is most unusual for this one as she has a fog horn of a bleat) there is a rise and fall in her stomach.

If she were mine I'd gently bump her tummy, near her tail end, if there's another kid you should feel it. Although if she's cleansed then I'd say not  :-\

I think she is just "talking" to her kid, like sheep that have that deep rumble with which they talk to their lamb. It is really unusual and nothing like their usual noise. It is only there for the first few days after lamb/kid is born.

In total I have 10 girls, In August ( that will be 5 months ago  :innocent: ) I got myself a lovely, 18 week tot of a billie.
There is no way that this tiny tot of a billie was going to reach any of my girls. It just didn't seem physically possible. Anyhow , clearly , my hubby left his step ladder out,  as we have been caught completely unaware. However slightly more prepared now.

Have had 4 births  another one looks imminent and Every birth has been different!

So 3 sets of twins, 1 boy and 1 girl every set
And a single boy
 
I have tried unsuccessfully to upload pictures but will try again

Shy girl the two white ones are the ones I had the problems with, the one looking at camera was born naturally on Monday and the one looking to side was delivered by section on Tuesday
