Title: Pig ark/huts WANTED,

Second hand cheap pig arks/huts wanted (4 or 5), farrowing, insulated, tin, anything considered! Old used in any reparable condtion, dont mind traveling 100 miles or so for a good price! ;) (from Pickering, North Yorks)

You don't see second hand pig arks for sale too often, and the ones I've seen on ebay are expensive for being so battered ! But they are simple DIY task to build. I've built all of mine (from 18mm exterior ply), even the large sow arks only take a few hours work and I paint them woodland colours so they blend with the the surroundings. Or Booths have standard metal farrowing arks on special offer at the moment http://www.pigequipment.co.uk/index.asp?pageID=128.

That's what i said to the other half but hes insisting we buy new stuff and built some that look good! Honestly i dont realy care what they look like as long as they do the job!
We have so much stuff lying around ours we could build loads, but he's quite the perfectionist and wont have none of it! lol, so i thought id ask about and find some any way! Getting him to do things is like waiting for xmas, so as usual it good old Do It Yourself! lol  ;D
