Dan and I have been debating whether the digestive bicuit part of a McVities Chocolate Digestive is the same recipe as a plain McVities Digestive - I say "no", he says "yes".
At lunchtime, this discussion morphed into "If you were on a desert island and could only have one type of biscuit, what would it be? Assume tea and coffee is available; biscuits only so no Jaffa cakes or chocolate bars."
So what's yours?

Oooo, thats a tough one but probably plain chocolate digestive please ;D

Hmmmm - very difficult one
I'm going to go for a savoury biscuit I think - you know those large cheesey/seedy biscuits in sort of posh clear plastic wrapping - Doctor something or others????
Prizes for whoever can decipher my description :innocent:
-
Posh make one's my Mum brings sometimes - ginger with dark chocolate - never any left!!

Hobnobs.
It's a biscuit I really like but actually don't buy that often. I buy other favourites like choc digestives, custard creams and the ocassional lemon puff, but if there had to be just one choice....hobnobs it is.

Life without gingernuts dunked in coffee could not be borne...
However, if one needs to get work done on this desert island then one needs Tunnocks Caramel Wafers...
And I'm with Sudanpan, actually - Dr Karg's. :yum: Posh hard tack with flavour, fills you up and keeps you 'fuller longer' (to coin a phrase)
Ok, now I need more info... am I on the desert island alone? In which case I choose Dr Kargs. But if there are others there and I have to watch them eat other biscuits, then it has to be TUC / cheese savouries, because you can't watch someone eat one of those without needing to finish the packet for them :D

Ginger nuts.
Life without gingernuts dunked in coffee could not be borne...
One of the hardest things for me to have to do without since becoming gluten intolerant. I can't find gluten free ones and the recipe I tried turned out so hard that I had to soak them in a hot drink, not dunk them.

I can't decide between McVities Plain Chocolate Digestives or Border Biscuits Chocolate Gingers.
-
Fig rolls for me......but whichever one's your fav, you can't leave an open packet can you ?????
or is that just me !!!

nope once they're open they're history...

Chocolate covered Oreos for me please. :excited: :excited:

Chocolate Olivers are nice too, really thick coating on them..
-
Digestive biscuits are the devils work - there are used carpet tiles that taste better - and chocolate digestives are a waste of good chocolate.
chocolate ginger nuts for me ( though most things chocolatey are good).
-
I love home made ginger snaps but I have recently found tirimasu biscuits and I am addicted to them, they are great on their own and go well with ice cream especially home made Tia Maria ice Cream ::)
-
